Look at my Happy Feet.....

Bearbuilder perk # 7, getting to see Happy Feet the Movie for free at IMAX 3D before it is out ......
YUP I am going tonight BABY! I get to see Mumble, Gloria, Lovelace, and Ramon dance their happy feet away......How cool is that? I will let you know how awesome the movie is on Friday (the day it comes out) But yes I get to see it first with my fellow bearbuilders. You know how the firemen have the brotherhood, well we have the bearhood......Bearhood code of honor, to build the best, loving and huggy bears ever!

Def. let us know. I heard that it has a pretty 'heavy handed' message that it preaches. I hope that review is wrong...because in the commercials it looks awesome!

I only just heard of it the other day when I was doing some Christmas shopping and saw something about it in the store. What's the story? what's the heavy handed message it preaches? What's it about? Curious minds need to know!

We got to read about it from the literature that was sent with the furry friends......
Mumble is a pengn/that mates for life with the same pegn. their mating ritual is to sing and he has a hearing problem so he dances and uses his happy feet to get Glorias attention...well he scares off the fish and they oustersize (sp)him so he leaves and finds 2 friends; Ramon and Lovelace, LL is the leader type(Robin Williams) and they like Mumble for who he is and not what he can not do......Sing......So their is also an envionmental story behind it too to keep ocean clean ect...I will give review and update if my story is on track.......Keep an eye out.....

WOW! THis movie had THE BEST MUSIC EVER>>>>You could not sit still with the tunes and awesome singing that took place the entire movie...
I can see where Drew said it was "heavy handed", to a point it was but not in a bad or making fun of way, well maybe a little poking fun at how Christians have a "one sided" view sometimes...This is what I got from why they may have had something to say......
The point of envionmental stuff was a good messg but mostly the "doing the right thing/friendship messg" I tell you the MUSIC ROCKED.......The dancing was done in such a way you could forge tthey were penguins dancing, they had human like moves.....I wonder if Zavion Glover had any of the taping thing going on in this movie.......sitting still was not an option during this movie......wiggle and giggle took place 85% of the movie....
I did have the notion Mumble was hearing impaired but it was b/c his egg was "dropped" when he was in it and it effected his development as a true penguin. There is alot of humor for adults that kids may not get but will laugh and not know what they are laughing at.......Nothing too racey (I would hope not).....
I am sure the reviews may be mixed but do not forsee too many neg or bad ones...at least I don't think!
Go and enjoy Happy Feet and be aware your face will hurt b/c you can't help but to smile during the dancing......

Thanks for the review! I had no idea what the movie was about, but my kids have been all excited to see it. One of my children is hearing impaired and now a second one may be as well. Needless to say, this is going to be a must see for our family and not just for the cute penguines that they keep asking for! LOL
