Shrek Babies

Here are the triplets.....Shrek and Fiona have 3 babies. These are selling like hotcakes. They are 3 for $15.00..or $7.00 each..SO I figured out if you tell people buy 2 for $14. and get the 3rd one for a dollar that is like a cha ching. It is all how you word it. I am always on top of things when it comes to our products but was stumped today by the question from an inquistive 6 year old "what are their names" WOW! She stumped me so I decided to Google it! Nothing. We are sure tonight we are taking Ryan and his friend to see it so I will report back. Stephen is at a lake in NH for the weekend with his friend/ast. hockey coaches family. We miss him already. Off to get dinner on the table to scadadel to the movies.......Have a great weekend...... so they don't have names.....oh well what can I say they are nameless....maybe in # 4 we will learn the names. I hear it is already being worked on # 4 .....kind of like Rockey.....it may go on forever....lol

Thank goodness I drive a sedan....too bad it wasn't a hybrid...that is my next

Did you see the latest....the gas prices may go up to $3.20 a gallon. Come on! What the heck. Now you have to keep in mind how far you drive to not over do it. A poor women on the news who lives 40 miles round trip from Dana Farber who needs to go everyday for cancer treatment has to budget her gasoline into her grocery bill and cut down on food that she is buying. Tell me that is not wrong. Just sickining. I am glad back in 2003 we got rid of my mommy van (yippie) and got a sadan. Michael was close to gettting a 4X4 but we did not. Well glad to say at this point of the game my zippy car does not eat gas like a tapeworm. At $2.98 the last time I filled up it still hurt but atleast it wasn't $52.00 like the Hummer next to me. I know the game they are playing, long travel weekend right around the corner so lets raise it b/c people are going to travel and have to buy gas at whatever cost it is. All I know is I am glad we have a Lax jamboriee this weekend and our town is the host. Not to far to drive. SO to all of you out there, look at your tire preasure make sure it is correct that could help save you a few CENTS when filling up. Those pennies add up..........No wonder why the mall has been so dead, nobody wants to waste gas to get there.....atleast I would not be going there if I did not work there........

Had to make a cup of green tea....

It is soooo cold today .......When we got home from a long day at work/school we were freezing in here. I put on a sweatshirt that I haven't worn in weeks. Just yesterday all the too small fall/winter clothes were bagged up and there are only warmer weather clothes in the drawers now. UGH./.......Just when you think you don't need pants for the kids....Wham....Pants are needed. I just could not get the bone chillin cold out of me so I made some green tea. I think it makes you thursty for more.....After a cup of tea I have to drink a glass of water. SO weird huh!
I am off to Lacross with a book and a blanket for the car. Yes that is how cold it feels........Hope you are staying warm.

I bet Karen can guess the lake!

As the warmer weather is approcahing, so we can hope, I look forward to lake swimming. Mostly pool swimming but I will take a lake over the salty, slimy ocean anyday. This is one of my favorite lakes. My most favorite would be Lake Sebago in Maine. I love it from the Point Sebago resort only. My in laws for Christmas bought all the brothers a timeshare that will be shared between the four famlies. It is for two weeks and home base is right near this lake shown. It can be transfered to other locations but I really think Michael and I may use it here this summer to save on transfer fees ect. His oldest brother banked his week but needs to use it by August so he said we cold have it. Thanks John......Next year would be our year but we get to have it early. I have been to a weekend getaway to this place before b/c a co-worker of mine did not use hers on Memorial Day weekend so she let us have it for a few days. The weirdest thing is that the condo has no A/C.........It has floor fans and ceiling fans. I find that weird for a summer place. Hey what can I say. I could deal. I will call it camping.....lol lol So take a guess K ...I know you will get it correct. You also love this place,,,,I think......b/c you love the places near it you once said.......Have a great Wednesday people......
If you spell it wrong thats ok b/c I don't know how to spell it anyway...HINT!

Mothers Day 1993

  • Mothers Day 1993, my first one......Michael, I and our 4 month old son go to a resturant for the big day. He tells me we will do what you want to today, this is your day. As we are driving up Rt. 1 (lived south then) I saw a sign that said "visit the park" ....I wanted to walk in the "park" and enjoy my new family. Show off the baby on that beautiful day. So I tell Michael after we eat I would love to go to that park. He was like no you don't/ now I am like "you said I could choose" so what is the problem? Well it is not a park.....but the sign said......no it is a "place of rest" ......no! it says park. Not to have a bicker with the lovely mother of his first born on her first Mothers Day he takes me to the "park" to apease (sp) me........Well he was right, this was not a park I wanted to walk a baby carraige in. No sure re......It was a pretty place don't get me wrong but it sure was a cemetary. OPPSS !!!! my bad.....it is still a funny little story we still tell today. As for the walk in the park, we have had 15 years of that...a walk in the park...hand in hand of course...........Happy Mothers Day to all of you who are moms or have given care, or been like a mom to another.........Blessings...

Specks for the family

In the early morning we are off to the eye doctors for our yearly exam. Like the dentist we have found it easier to make the four visit appmnt. on the same day. It sounds rather comical that we sit there and wait for eachother for a good amount of time at both eyes and teeth visits. We are lucky enough that Michaels work has this awesome vision and dental program that we bearly pay anything per month for the insurance and so much is covered. Free glasses or contacts for the year, exam and great service is wonderful. The eye doctors name is quite funny Dr. Seymore.....SEE MORE! hehehehehe! Last year Stephen got contacts to wear while playing hockey. He got 6 months of contacts free.......And a pair of really nice glasses. They broke while playing knee hockey with his brother, we took them there and walah new pair no charge. Thos was like 8 months after we got them. This year since his glasses are so new and if the script does not chage we will get the year of contacts and he wants to wear them more than just for hockey. I am looking forward to a new pair myself. The thing is with adults it is either or......Last year I choose contacts a years worth and still have many. My scrpit did not change so I kept my glasses. I am so excited about changing them this time. I may even spring for the differnce and pay for tranistions......I hear they are not all that good though b/c unlike my perscrition sunglasses they do not get "dark enough". In a year or two if Ry askes we will look into contacts for him and Michael just always gets the contacts, he just wears his glasses at night. I do know how he goes all day with contacts....I have to rip them out even if they are fresh new out of the box after 230/300 from wearing them in the am.......my eyes must be sensitive or something.
I told the boys I will get them up early to get ready and they were like awwwww! Back in the day I can remember when I WISHED I could sleep past 600am but had little ones that woke at at the crack of dawn like 500am....Now they want to stay in bed till' past 830....that is now so late....I feel like a day is wasted if you are not up and getting things done. Weekends just fly and I need all the time I can to get the stuff done. Also I want to take a break in the pm and rest and no go go go all day long.......SO the early bird catches the worm....Get those worms people ! Worms.......Yuck!

Que'!

WHAT! Is the word I screamed when Stephen came home and told me his Spanish average so far this tri-mester is a 50%! This boy has NEVER gotten a bad grade before. He, I was told by Senorita Myal is not even trying. Now I am reasonable and I am not an orgar I would be so compassionate if he truly were struggling. Wait she said he does not get it as fast as she would like but he also threw in the towel....Well kiddo here is the towel all wrapped around you now. I am off to drive him early to school to re-do a quiz. He also has to "re-do" 11 yes 11 homework papers b/c of the lack of effort he put into them. He should be so greatful she is letting him "re-do" or that would put a really bad mark on his report card. His acceptance into the HS that he applied to is based on the marks he gets from the last tri-mester. He got the letter saying we would love to have you as a student in the fall based on keeping your grades up. I guess it is like the old saying you are not in until you are truly in.....What old saying that is, I am not sure but it sounds good......So for the next 29 days or so he will be going early and staying late to remedy this problem. He before you know it he may be the best Spanish speaking eight grader there is....I am not gonna push it that far....lol....Adios'
so far this weekend, well Friday nigth Stephen has done half of what is owed. Michael looked at his work despite the fact he took French in HS/College and I was the one who took Spanish. lol.....He was at it all afternoon. I tell you I have the butt nipper and I nipped it in the butt...Hypotetically speaking.....I don't really nip butts but I nip things in the butt........I will keep posted how and where the mark goes from here till moving on day at school. They call it moving on...Not eight grade gradusation like when I was in school.....oh well...moving on....

Stephies PSA for the day........Safety First.......

Always wear your helmets........
Stephen and his friends have been getting so good at sk8ing, biking, and mostly sk8brdin....I like to see them together having clean fun and getting exercise. Stephen has even been digging on the side of the yard to make "jumps and ramps", hope Michael does not fall upon it...lol He won't like all the diggin' maybe he will. We went to his friends house early on Saturday and this boy made the coolest course for biking. There were drops and plywood to make the bike do a jump. I was impressed. The only thing this boy was not wearing a helmet. I demand it. No helmet no ride. It is Mass law you know. It may even be other state laws too. My sons both know no matter where you always wear that helmet.....So folks protect those noggins......WEAR YOUR HELMETS!

And don't forget those seatbelts also........

Have a great week.......

Here we are Monday again. No complaining about ah it's Monday.....I am starting this day with a wonderful attitude and a big smile on my face, not that I don't like to smile anyway. I hope you all have a great week. Here it is to get warmer and warmer as the week goes by. Looking forward to nice warmth. Blessings and huggs.......

Off to the wedding.......

Today is my co-worker, ast. mgr/friend Amys wedding. Getting ready for it in a minute and looking forward to a really fun time. Her husband to be, Matt LOVES Buffet, Jummy that is ...lol
SO they are playing off the Cinco De Mayo theme and the parrot head thing. Like I said should be a fun time. I can clearing remember mostly all the weddings I have attened and there are many. Way too many of Michaels co-workers thats for sure....lol .....Now it is his turn..hehehehe
It is easy for me b.c of my social butterfly thing going on and I find it easy to go to the weddings of his co-workers and or their children...Yes we got invited to the wedding of a child of his old co-worker. I guess they just really needed guests.......lol ......So I will report back and have a wonderful night all.....

What a fun time we had at the wedding....The food was awesome. I don't like roastbeff normally but I must say it was cooked very well just like I like it and it was as soft as butter. The bubbles were an added treat as they walked down the aisle. I guess there is a differnt thing that I have never seen before but she told me about it, instead of the unity candle it is a sand vase, two differnt color sands are added to one vase to make a combination of the two..It is really pretty. Funny that the brides blue sand over powered the grooms black sand.....I said yeah shes got it right from the start...lol Only joking....50/50.....is what it is about...We danced the night away to "dirty water", the song. He is the biggest Sox fan ever. The DJ was an old classmate of mine that is on Mike FM 93.7, it used to be Star 93.7 and it was way better then, I told him of my dissapointment. lol .....Mike has no DJs just songs all the time. I like to connect to the DJ and laugh every so often. I told him how I love John Lander of Mix 98.5 and he said even though the DJs from the area are rivals they all are friends in the same buisness. It really was a great time and fun was had by all......
On the ride home I tell you people don't drink and drive. It was so obvious this car in front of us on 114 was so off. He was sweveing to the lest then to the right and was driving like 5 MPH....You could tell he was tring his best to drive and we stayed 100 Ft away to be safe. I police car pulls out of a street behind us and we are like yeah he can take this guy off the road. NOOOOOO the cop turns at the next street and goes on his way. I prayed the entire ride while also driving Jenn another co-worker/friend home. She said theat is why she does not have her licence, b/c of people like that. Just use your head and DO NOT DRIVE WHILE INTOXICATED!

This sun is awesome....

How sunny was it where you were today? It was the best here. From the crack of dawn driving to work at 520am till even now after dinner it is so beautiful. Off to the Lax field soon to enjoy the nice weather. Need bug spray b/c the field is mear a pond and with ponds comes the sceeters.......I may even pull my hair back b/c I feel sceeters get in the hair....Is it just me? OCD? Chestnut up the hill and the dogs that live there too have been in view since dinner. They also look so happy to be out and about in the beautiful weather. Now and only now is whan I wish I had a very small puppy to walk. Just walk in the nice sunset. No other responsibilites of the puppy, Normie knows I am not a dog/cat person. Only beta fish and at that bearly. Get it BEARLY>>>>Love the bears...teddy bears...lol ........I could take jellybean the BABW beagel I got one Christmas when the boys asked about a dog...lol They did not find it as funny as I did. For a while I would put Jellybean in random places and by the slider looking out and pretend that he needed to take a walk....See boys this is how a real dog would be. Yeah they did not get the full effect. SO off I go to Lax without a pup........Still I can not say a bad word about it b/c the sun is shiny and bright......Enjoy!

Selling Stuff.....UGH!

Do any of you know a person who always has to sell stuff? I have an ex-coworker who is always having some kind of home-selling thingy or another. She dabbeled in costume jewlery, I don't enjoy regular or fake. My wedding ring and pair of earings are enough for me. Kitchen items and tupperware are also amoung her many other things. Makeup was the best one, really expensive make-up. She also had the oh so terrible "toy" party. Once the girls at work were told to come to her house for wine and cheese. Well the invitation forgot to say she was selling the CHEESE! UGH.......I went to only one of her "selling" parties. The cheese one. Needless to say the market .5 miles from my house HAS cheese. Here is my point.....PEOPLE! I go to stores.......If I wnat storage containers I will go to the store. Tupperware is now sold at Target and the mall keoks (sp).........I buy the hugh $20.00 rubbermaid contains, 20 bowls for 20. Not one bowl for twenty. The that's a bowl from tupperware was given to my as a present. I know some gals like the "get-to-gether" fun of it. Hell, can't you go to someones house without your bankbook? Like a visit to NOT buy stuff. I HATE THAT! Then the reresentitiv efrom the company tries to be all like blah blah you can make all this money ect........Screw that......excuse my mouth.....So you know have to be the "party at my house" person. The worst one was this really expensive not so nice looking decorative stuff. I could go to TJ Maxx home store and get way nicer things from that expensive rip you over the coals Southern Living Crap. Stop the insainity. SO recently she "got into" a company that is the "end all be all" of health products. I am all for my Flax Oil and Acai Juice......I highly recomend Bosa Nova Acai Juice...Higest anti-oxidents out there. SO any how, you buy this at the STORE! Her stuff first you PEE in a cup....yes folks I said PEE IN A CUP at the presention, not in front of everyone in the potty...lol Then it gets wisked away to a lad so it could be tested so they could "customize" your "plan"////A very EXPENSIVE might I add plan.....@ $250. per month for you to get your body "In Balance"/////So the question from this man is Can you put a price on your health, without it you are nothing. I do not doubt or excuse tha tstatement but BUDDY boy you are a SALESMAN for this vitamin company that HAS to ask this question. My tought was does GNC sell this stuff b/c once again back to the GO TO THE STORE concept. He also went on and on saying we would nbe NUTS not to hop on this bandwagaon b/c we could make $30,000 A MONTH yes a MONTH residual income. Yeah budyy if I put a gun to everyone I knows head and MADE them and all their kin folk PEE in a cup and make them BUY the stuff that is "custome" to them.........SO the best part is I had to pick -up Stephen and his friend from youth group at @8:00...the "get-to-gether" started @7:15 he was halfway through when I had to excuse myself. Yippie. I did not get the "so are you on board" question. I find it hard to say no......just like I could not say no to her when she called to give me the most exciting news she has ever heard...quote un quote! I know I will be getting a call....YIKES........Also the others involed were like comatose looking made up gals. One insisted she knew me I was like no not there not there. She said so many differnt places...She was grabbin at straws. lol....Then she said I should try her day spa....Yeah go away Lady! I have family members that own those kinds of places and still do not go~! Let me alone......! SO anyone one board? LOL LOL LOL I am selling the CUPs to PEE in LOL LOL NOT! The best part was "in two weeks the cost of PEE analysist goes to $99.00 it is now at the low price of $49.99"...WOW what a deal people.......Can you see it now..this nation will be full of cups full of urine fro a mear $50...... ACT NOW AND SAVE>>>>>>>>
